Hi Joy,
Hi Joy
If you don’t mind, I would like to add a few comments as well.
One of the possible causes to your question is the flying speed.
Normally, in calm weather, you can get away by flying slower speed, but in windy days, you might want to consider speed up the flying speed to help penetrate into the wind.
One common thing people do is using faster prop in extremely windy days.
You should experiment different props to find out what is the best combination that fits your style of flying under different weather conditions.
In my motor, plane, prop combination, I like APC-e 21x14 as my best all around prop, with 21x13.5 as a close second, they are good up to 20mph wind, more than that, I will change to 20x15 to gain more flying speed.
If you are using 22x12 prop in normal flying, you might want to try some faster props in windy days to see if having faster flying speed helps your situation.
As Dr. Peng mentioned earlier, there is no noticeable difference between flying electric and glow.
I have flown the same plane (CARF Integral) using 170DZ at first and later converted to electric, however, the flying characteristics and stability remains the same.
