Tamiyablog.com report about some very exciting upcoming Tamiya releases in the form of a TRF417-2012 edition, VW Scirocco GT24-CNG on FF-03 and TT-01 Type-E chassis, a TA05 M-Four chassis kit and an all-new 1/12 scale pan car chassis. The TRF417-2012 is the next evolution step of the World Championship winning TRF417 with what looks like a rear gear differential, special LiPo-compatible chassis plate and more. Judging by the CAD drawing very subtile changes to the current layout took place but we await the official press release for the full specs and features. The VW Scirocco GT24-CNG is the racing variant of the German carmaker's sports coupe with loads of wings and flaps and comes on the FWF FF-03 or budget TT-01 Type-E chassis.
The TA05 M-Four chassis looks like a mixture of a TA05 standard 4WD touring car combined with the small M-chassis suspension parts to make long wheelbase 4WD M-type on-road car.

Also an on-road car and being part of Tamiya's recent activity to revitalise most of their iconic "vintage" chassis is the 1/12 Toyota TOM’S 84C that was first introduced a good 25 years ago. Powered by a 380-size electric motor and an LF1100 LiFe battery the pan car features a 2.5mm FRP glass fibre chassis plate and a basic front suspension.
