Instructions for Manually Installing the Transmitter Interface Drivers under Windows 2000

This document is applicable to RealFlight Classic, Deluxe and G2. If you are running Windows 95, 98, or ME, this document doesn’t apply to you.
If you are having problems getting error messages when starting RealFlight Classic, Deluxe, or G2, then you can try the following.
· First Try the instructions below and manually install the driver. Then start RealFlight.
· If this doesn’t work, you may have to completely uninstall RealFlight, reinstall RealFlight and apply all the patches (BEFORE RUNNING REALFLIGHT), and then manually install this driver.
To manually install the transmitter interface adapter under Windows 2000, do the following steps:8879576
1. If you have G2, then update using the RealFlight Control Panel. That will get you this file and the necessary drivers. If you have RealFlight Classic or Deluxe, then download the latest version of that program from www.realflight.com. That will also contain this document and the necessary drivers.
2. Go to the Start Menu/Settings/Control Panel and choose Add/Remove Hardware
3. Click Next
4. Choose Add/Troubleshoot Device, then click Next.
5. It may take a second to scan Plug-n-Play devices. After it is done, it will show the following dialog. Click Add a New Device and click Next.
6. Click No, I want to Select the hardware from a list, and then click Next.
7. Choose Other Devices and click Next.
8. Click Have Disk…
9. Type in the location that has Realf.inf and Realf.sys (This will be in c:program files
ealflight for most people). Make sure you are updated to the latest version of RealFlight before you do this step. Then click OK.
10. The following dialog should appear. Then click Next. If there was a problem finding the driver, it would show a different dialog. If this is the case, see step 1 on how to get the latest drivers.
11. The following dialog will appear. Click OK.
12. The following dialog will appear, click Next.
13. The following dialog will appear, click Resources…
14. The following dialog will appear. Click Use Automatic Settings and click OK.
15. You are done, you can now launch RealFlight.
