You just love having me respond to your post, don't you?
First of all, what's 兩架扯輪架,一架頭開花 got to do with running a glow engine?
As you've stated, that was two years ago. I flew 6 rounds on Friday for practice, 6 rounds on both Saturday & Sunday this past weekend at the contest (including two rounds of F) with the cdi with absolutely no problem. You learned from your mistakes, nobody's perfect. I admit, I had problem in the beginning with the cdi. But once I have mastered the technique, problems gone. Besides, I can do both P & F sequence on one 600 cc tank of fuel plus a few extra maneuvers, that's at least 15 minutes of flying time. Let's see whether you can do that with e power without frying those batteries.
Besides, changing gasket at the beginning of the season, spark plug every 100 flights, checking valve clearence regularly is not a problem. Are you trying to tell me you never have to change oil & spark plugs on your car? Is your electric set up absolutely maintenance free? I don't think so.
You never see me bashing e power. I don't care you fly glow or electric, as long as you like it & you think that makes you a better pilot, that's all it matters.
You owe me a glass of wine at the Napa contest.
