這首歌的旋律抒情優美，乍聽感覺頗為悠揚寬廣，想像一下：離家多時之後，再度回到綠草如茵的家園，爸爸、媽媽及女友熱情地歡迎自己的歸來，那種場景多令人歡愉感動。然而上述的狀況全都是主角的夢中情境，現實的狀況則非如此地美好悠閒！主角是個犯罪將被槍決的死刑犯，最後他的靈魂的確回到了綠草如茵的家園，只可惜他不再能看到爸爸、媽媽及女友的熱情歡迎。
